Yeah, if you played on the computer I have to play on now and had it skip every few seconds while playing sims 2…you’d understand why I was willing to pay more for a great system. haha! I play sims 3 and WOW! Also, I don’t want to have to replace it for a long time.
Also, we had a friend build my hubby’s but we haven’t talked to him in forever and would have felt terrible about having him build mine. But yea, usually, building your own is the way to go…I will add…my hubby is extremely jealous of my build…lmao!
It will run the Sims 3 just fine. You paid way more than you should have for those specs compared to building it your self though. But if you have 2 HD4870′s in Crossfire it will easily run any game out now and future games for a while at maxed out graphics. Overall you have a really good set up for gaming. It will even play Crysis with the settings maxed out.
Yes that will be able to handle that game with out batting an eye. Not too bad of a setup there.
ATI Cards that run Pixel Shader 2.0 include:
any 9xxx after and not including the 9250
any Xxxx and after and including the X300
ATI Cards that run Pixel Shader 3.0
all ati x1xx and and anything with HD in their name (HD 2xxx, HD 3xxx, and HD 4xxx)
And of course 3.0 is compatible to use old shader tech
