I am going to name my business G.C Service (don’t know if its already taken), and as for the slogan I will maybe put one that I found on the internet(Your yard barber!). Is it illegal to take someones slogan or what about the name of the business? If so, how do I know it’s not taken?? Also any tips on where to get them cheap(business cards) will be good thanks to all responces..if any.

When you go for your business license they will let you know if that name is available so have a few backups just in case..
You will need a business license and insurance if you want to be taken seriously and make any kind of profit.
The slogan…well I think Coke would have a problem if you started a soda business and the slogan was “The real thing” but if it is from a whole other type of business it is ok in most cases.
You can print cards easy enough by getting some card stock for your printer and using a business card graphic program.
1) Register DBA. When you register, you’ll do a search and find out if it’s taken or not.
2) Customize it, like “Your (insert city name) yard barber!”
3) If you have a printer, you can get business card “stock” in any office store, like Office Depot / Office Max / Staples.
