I have a tax ID & an internet based small business. I have recently decided to start selling MTG cards online. Does anyone know the process of becoming a MTG dealer or who to contact to do this. Also I have found a company that sells cards, but they are a light bulk supplier so I don’t have to spend very much money with them to make an initial order. I just want to get rock bottom prices. Anyone know how to do this or what you need to start this up?

I owned a store from 2004 to 2006. You need to contact Wizards retailer support to get started. According to their site, it’s (800) 324-6496. What you want is their wholesaler list. They e-mail it to you and then you contact those wholesalers on your own.
Be warned, Wizards may require a picture of a storefront, and they used to have rules that a certain percentage of your sales had to come from a brick and mortar store. Meaning some sales could be online, but taken as a whole there was a required ratio of in store vs. online sales. If you don’t qualify for their wholesaler list, then you are stuck combing the net and using word of mouth to get as low as you can. But anyone selling to you if you don’t meet Wizards standards may be taking a chance at penalties of their own.
