How long will my mail be held at canada customs?

I recently purchased an item from germany, upon entering my tracking number it says that “item will be reviewed at canada customs” or something to that effect. Does this mean my mail is being inspected. A friend told me when mail gets inspected, it can take much longer. What percentage of mail actually gets inspected? I purchased an autographed hockey card, so it is classified under “letter mail” with canada post if that helps. My parcel reached canada in 4 business days from germany, but has sat in customs for two days now. This sucks.

    in my experience I have had some small packages held up at canadian customs for up to 4 weeks.

    letters and documents dont seem to be held up

    nothing you can do about it – if they say you just pay, then you must pay
