    always carry your passport and your green card… then you have no worries…

    U.S. green card holders do not need a visa t visit Canada. You will need your passport from your home country and you must carry your green card to be allowed back into the U.S. At 1st site below, see 2nd paragraph under “Visitor Visa Exemptions.” On 2nd site see paragraph on International Travel. Only U.S. citizens may travel to Canada by Land without a passport …and only til June 1. If you do not currently have a passport from your home country, you can apply for one at the nearest embassy or consulate of that country in the U.S.

    You need a valid passport and your green card to travel to Canada. You don’t need a visa.
