    If you need to make business cards, you really should make the logo using the vector format so they can resize it as needed without distortion. A free vector format graphics editor:

    Inkscape (Very good for vectored graphics) Windows and Mac: http://www.inkscape.org/download/

    If your logo is a GIF or PNG with a transparency, you may be seeing a bad image if you are using IE as it doesn’t display PNG images with transparency very well. If the upload site changes your current image format that has a transparent background to a JPG, you will have a white box around it. Hard to give you better answers without seeing image.

    http://cooltext.com/ if you use one of these downloads you can drag and drop it onto an image in gimp open image in gimp then just drag and drop into gimp use scale tool to manipulate size aswell as position using move tool wont work use the scale tool to move text
