Ok so I’m creating a business card for a photographer, and am doing a test file to upload.
I want to know what would be the best file to save it under.
I use Paint Shop Pro 9
Thanks guys, and let me know if you need more info.
I usually save all my design work as PNG format.

PNG is a good edit and fairly good quality picture, but TIFF is the best quality. It takes up a lot of space but makes up for it in quality. JPEGS are ok. If you don’t care about space, I’d recommend a TIFF; otherwise PNG or JPG would be fine.
The only problem with PNG is that it does not support CMYK color. I’m not familiar with the color management capabilities of Paint Shop Pro, but if it supports CMYK you should use that for anything that’s going to be printed. That will give you more precise control over color. PNG is fine for screen graphics, and will work for printing too if you’re okay with its colors. Mainly, you should avoid JPEG for any images that might be edited, as JPEG is lossy and gets progressively worse with each succeeding generation. It’s particularly bad with sharp-edged imagery such as line art or text.
