I’ve been looking up different paper options.
I create custom jewelry display cards and have always used 110lb paper. When I compare my standard business cards to my vistaprint business cards, the vista print card feels heavier. I looked it up and they say they use 80lb stock. I’m so confused… I thought the higher the number the more durable/heavy the paper.
But this says the opposite: http://www.thepapermillstore.com/cardstock-weights/

The 110 and 80 refer to how many sheets it takes to weigh a pound. The 80 takes fewer sheets, thus it’s a heavier product.
I think you’re probably using 110# Text compared to 80# Cover stock. They’re weighed differently and Cover stock is always heavier than Text stock. The link explains it all.
110lb card stock is heavier than 80lb card stock.
