When you apply for a credit card and they don’t give you a instant decision does that mean your denied?

I applied for the bank of america credit card and thisThank you for submitting a credit card application.and they said this..

Your business is appreciated and careful consideration is being given to your request, but an instant decision cannot be provided at this time.

You will receive a written response within the next 30 days

So does this usually mean I didnt get approved?

    Then they have to do more research on your finances, as most people that apply for their first credit card have no credit they look into your bank statements and such. Most likely they will base a credit card on your average ledger, which is how much is usually in your account.

    After that its on your own, my suggestion don’t fill it up too fast.
