I cannot seem to come up with anything clever or catchy for this type of business. I would like something memorable but not too corny to use for a website and business cards, etc. Any suggestions?
jewelry is made from various ununsual beads and swarovski crystals, various metal components, wirework, semi-precious gemstones, etc.
selling mainly on website but also plan to sell at art fairs, etc. and possibly sell wholesale or consignment to local galleries.
i need something clever but not too cute. thanks!
What kind of jewerly? If you’re doing bead work how about:
This Bead’s For You
I would try using your child’s name as part of it (that is if you have a child) it might make it seem more formal. But the best would be a name that relates to the theme of your jewelry like Flora and Fauna would be a great name for a flower/plant and animal accessory company. Good Luck!
Congratulations for starting your own handcrafted jewelry business!! First of all what kind of jewelry – beaded, silver, cloisonne? Antique or estate jewelry? I know somebody who sells beads – she called her business “beauty and the beads” which I think is clever. How old are you? Who is your market? Is it fine or costume jewelry? Are you selling on line or in a store. It all makes a difference b/c if its a local retail store then you might want to name your business after your location or your name. For example, pleasant ave designs or lisa smith designs. I took a metalsmithing class once. It was scary using the torches. My friend makes beautiful beaded necklaces and sells them for a decent profit in a friend’s store a few states away.
If you’re going more high-end with something that takes some craftsmanship, I would choose a business name that refers to your name in some way. This will convey a more personal, ‘it comes from your soul’ feel. (Think Tiffany.) If you’re looking at a lower price point or something that is more of a crafty feel, then go with a name that is geared more toward the type of jewelry you’re making or the materials you use. (Gettin’ Beady with It.) Me, I combined both, because I have both. Since my first name starts with E and I make chainmaille, I named by business E-maille. Good luck in your venture!
how about –clever and cute!
