I am used to working with Microsoft Publisher to create small projects like greeting cards, brochures or menus for my business, etc. I find it very easy to change the color of a graphic I recieve either to another color or grayscale.
Now I have all of the Adobe CS2 programs and I am working in InDesign. I’m working on an aldermanic logo which the background is blue with reverse lettering in white. I would like to use the logo on a postcard I’m printing for the alderman, but the print job is going to be done in black ink (on laser copier).
Can anyone tell me how I can change this graphic to black in Adobe InDesign or even as a grayscale image if nothing else?
Thanks!
Select your graphic then select on your color/swatch pallet the color you wan it to be. If you only have bw for swatches then in the color pallet, put all the cmyk to 100 percent then you can make colors by moving them.
I think you’re better off doing that in Photoshop if you have it. In InDesign, there are options for changing an image. If you go to IMAGE –> ADJUSTMENTS, some will come up but I’m not sure if grayscale is available so it may be easier just to do it in Photoshop and import it again!
