A strange fat woman was taking pictures of my house from my driveway. When I stepped outside and confronted her, she claimed to be part of a “Homeowner’s Assoc.” and presented me with a business card that stated she worked for a real estate company instead. I was suspicious, so I investigated her company and found that she has nothing to do with my residence.
I don’t think it’s serious enough for me to call the police, and I’d hate for our local law enforcement to leave the comfort of the starbucks patio. I’m not sure if posting a No Trespassing sign or No Soliciting will do the trick. I would really prefer to be left alone and do not want to be bothered with shoo-ing away nosy old women, or worry about someone spying on my property.
What I really want to know is if I’m protected under WA’s Castle Doctrine and can order her off my property with lethal force.
As I said before, I already know I can order her off my property.
I don’t plan on splattering her brains on my driveway, mostly because of the mess. I just want to know how enforceable my requests for her to leave and not come back actually are in WA, or what I could do to prevent it.
You can order her off your property. She can take all the photos she wants from the road.
If you used lethal force to attack someone simply standing in your driveway, ANY sane person would consider you a murderer.
