I would really like to know. If anyone has started one, please let me know the challenges of marketing like “is phone cold-calling more effective than walking in” or “is passing out a business card and posting up brochures around town effective”? Also, what were the challenges faced when you received the first client? How long did it take to get the first client and how long after that more people were interested? Please let me know! Thanks in advance for any helpful comments!

There is success in this type of business, but you MUST have a very strong network in place before you start. Further, you MUST have a sterling reputation in your region for being able to provide excellent service to your client base. If you are a bit ‘short’ on these talents, your best bet is to seek employment with an established agency to see how the business is run and where there is a need for a new approach. Then, capitalize on the new angle for yourself.
