How about using your company’s christmas card that way you don’t have to put a business card in it?

Christmas isn’t about advertising your company, its about spreading greetings. It’s very tacky. Give it out another time. Maybe the Christmas party when everyones drunk.

Not a cool thing to do. You were wise to ask prior to doing.

Hold on a moment – this is July, right? Wow – you really plan ahead!!!

    give it some other time.

Yes, because Christmas is about something very special and people will not be expecting advertising with the card which may turn them off. Offer it before or later but not with the card.

    Extremely tacky and innapropriate.

Christmas is to show that you are thinking about the person. NOT so they think about YOU!

No dont do that. You can start giving your business cards now to those people you planned on giving. Its Christmas, its time to lighten up and that time not many people think of business or do business

Pretty inappropriate. Have you ever written Christmas newsletters to any of these people before? If so, the most you can do is mention (along with your other news) that you’ve recently become associated with the XYZ company as a consultant, doing [whatever consultants do]. Period. Forget the business card — they know you already. And don’t start this with people you don’t know well enough for a newsletter exchange. There are other low-cost ways of advertising. I found a Mary Kay consultant’s ad in a program for a local theater production, and was able to order a product I needed.

Yes, it is very tacky; send out the card w/o your advertising then send out your cards separately at another time.
