I need a vector-styled program… but I’m broke. And I’ll need the program longer than ten days or however many days Adobe allows with their trial version. I just need a program to make business cards and typography with. Does anybody know of such a program? And it has to work with Windows Vista 64-bit. Thank you.
Oh, and it has to be completely save. No viruses, spy-ware, etc.
Download everything for free, that’s what you should do.
-Download uTorrent (check every box except toolbar stuff)
-Go to btjunkie.org and search (example): adobe illustrator
-Click on it and click ‘download this torrent’
-Now you’ve downloaded a torrent. Open it with uTorrent and Adobe Illustrator will start downloading.
-When it’s finished, click with your right mouse on the download and click ‘open containing folder’. A folder opens with Adobe Illustrator in it. Mostly, downloaded torrents are RAR files, which you have to unpack with WinRAR. Just download WinRAR and unpack Adobe Illustrator.
-When it’s unpacked, you see the setup files and a ‘readme’, that readme explains what you should do to get Illustrator working for ever.
Inkscape is a good one. It’s open source, which means it’s free, legal and clean. It works with SVG graphics and I know someone who has used it successfully on 64-bit Vista.
