I just started traveling a lot for my job. They will not give me a business card until I have worked there for a year. I have been currently putting all my expenses on my credit card. How do I get my credit limit raised? Its with capital one, and I pay on time and get reimbursed from my job for any expenses.
I have had my card a little over a year now. They gave me an increase 3 months after I got it..
call customer service and ask them explaining your situation. Capital One however is most anal in terms of credit limit increases but tell them to do an account review on your credit file and explain that you will be traveling a lot and will be charging stuff. Capital One as conservative as they are will probably accommodate you. Ask them to do a soft pull and not a hard inquiry,
Call Capital One and ask them to increase it.
How long have you had your credit card?
Some cards will wait at least a year or two before giving a credit line increase.
Most of the time all you have to do is ask, I used to work in retention at a credit card company and also collections…((But I suggest if they won’t give you a credit line increase ask about closing the card… Say something like if I’m not able to get a credit line increase, I want to close this card… they may transfer you to retention, in that case if they do you can get a higher credit line if you qualify, if you don’t qualify you can always get a lower intrest rate.))
some of the time they have to put in a request and you will have to wait 7-10 days before they will be able to get you some sort of info on it..
I’d say call up and ask.

Well first you call and ask for an increase but as already stated Capitol One may not be willing to increase you limit again after such a short period of time. If not, you could always get another card with some benefits that may fit your situation better. Gas rewards, airline mileage etc.
