Why does my scanner cuts off pieces when scanning?

it doesn’t scan the whole page intack…instead it’ll scan right side/bottom row etc….and make it into 3-4 pages instead of one sheet. When I scan small business card its fine…but for writing paper/printer paper it cuts off into pieces. How do I fix it?

I have Canon MP390

    Update the drivers:

    If you still have problems it might be time for a new one.

    You might input the wrong size (length, width) Scanners scans according to the settings you set.

    Check the requirements, you might have the wrong size paper for your scanner. Also check your putting it in exactly level with where it needs to be, sometimes even if it’s a centimeter of the scanner gets it all wrong.
