I’m designing a business card for someone. How much should I charge for the actual design (my services).?
I’m still a advertising and graphic communications student, so based on that and also the fact that this is one of my first clients and I’m still trying to build my portfolio… Could you give me a fixed rate for how much I should charge for the ART FEE? Not how much to charge to get them printed because I already know that info. I just want to know how much to charge for the actual design. If you want you can suggest an hourly rate as well. What does the term “bleeds” mean in graphic design terms?
I am designing a business card in photoshop, and the printer said to give the file “bleeds”. English is not his first language, so i had no clue what he meant by that. Do I just set the canvas size to slightly bigger than what i need printed?

Creative business name for a makeup artist?
I am designing a business card for my friend who is a freelance makeup artist. I need sort of a theme and a name. She is a high fashion girl and loves to party and I want it to kind of reflect that. She likes old Hollywood glamour (like pin-ups) or something sort of funky. So far what I have is a pink and black theme with Marilyn Monroe and the name “Some Like It Hot”. I need any ideas!
